Caren has worked in clinical, diagnostic and rehabilitation audiology services with adults and children since completing her studies at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa in 1997. Caren worked with ENT surgeons and the University sector in South Africa, focusing on rehabilitation and hearing therapy. Caren was employed at Hearing Australia after emigrating from South Africa in 2000 and has worked with adult cochlear implant recipients in South Australia since 2002 in roles at Flinders Medical Centre and since joining Cochlear Implants SA in 2006. Caren has a special interest in supporting clients navigate the challenges of hearing impairment and is soon to complete a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy through Adelaide University. With a focus on wholistic care and professional excellence, Caren offers compassion and a wealth of knowledge to help people hear and live better.
